Ride Day

The lead up to the track day was a late one, Wasn’t even planning to go until the night before.
Boyd offered to take the bike out in return for riding it the Honda was without forks.
Tim also took it our for a few rounds too,

We took the rear spring up a few turns and wet on with the Advanced group because I missed the Intermediate season.
Started off at 1:18 then taking about 1sec per lap for every pass ending up at 1:12.16 over 11 laps

I was pleased with it as I don’t normally get under 1:15 until I’ve relaxed into the later sessions.

Boyd took it out for his first run, starting with 1:07’s then 1:04’s  to end up with 1:03.89 after 12 laps.

Timmy’s turn, 8 laps starting off at 1:30 then bringing it down to 1:24.74 good job for the first time on the track in anger on a bike he didn’t know.

Back in the pits and Boyd’s had a play with the bike setup some more and went back out.  11 laps and another 1:03

Timmy out on the bike with 11 laps and his best being the last lap 1:15.82.

Boyd’s back playing with the setup so I took out Steph’s ZX-10. The idea was if I could hit the rev limiter and feel the power of the ZX-10 I wouldn’t be scared of the opening the throttle n the 675 ….. Scary fast 30km faster down the back straight.

Tim was back running the sessions so after Boyd’s finished tweaking I’m back out.
Bit of traffic around so nothing impressive, session red flagged after 4 laps with a seat cowl on the back straight.
Back out and running for 3 laps, lap 2 ended up being my best for the day at 1:11.45. The bike just felt better, more planted and more forgiving with the bumps.

Boyd’s turn with the new setup. 13 laps in all mostly 1:03’s then got in a 1:02.57 at the end.

For the rest of the day we are all taking it in turns, All sitting around the same times as we had been before.
