Track Day: 7th Oct.

We’re back after a long winter.

You forget so much of the track where each bump is and where to place the bike as to not cause pain.

I feel its going to take me a few runs to get back up to my old pace…..

First run: everything feels wrong for the first few,  leathers and suspension cold and not wanting to move.

9 full laps with the best of 1:17.06 of the 5 in the 1:17 range

Felt much better by then end of the session, fork oil warmed up and leathers happy.

Second Run: Lots more bike our on track so getting a clean fast lap was tricky with 1:20.74 being the best I could muster

Timmy kept rounding my up around the sweeper which means i was then behind him for most of the rest of the lap only feeling confident to pass him down the straight.

Where he would then pass me around the Sweeper… again.

Third Run: Tim and I having fun again but only for a few laps. 1:19.54 being my best of the 4.

Rear tyre was shot, left side was hard and not happy about powering on round the sweeper, Stepping out a few times so I parked it for safety.

Day Done. Plan for next time is to replace that rear and do some more prep work on the bike.
